Nice place, simple and tasty Irish food. Crew was nice and friendly; service was quite fast. Exactly what you look for in a good place near a highway. Price for a 3 course menu was 23 euros, which is more than reasonable.

Response from the owner

Thank you for the positive comments. We appreciate it and also your lovely photos.
Kind regards,
Jack Whites

Fantastic experience, staff could not have been more pleasant, quick service. Very rare you would get a 3 course Sunday dinner for €21.95 in today’s climate. Absolutely fantastic well worth the trip! Would definitely visit again if it the area

We visited as a family of three and were very disappointed.

The plates and presentation looked nice, but that did not save the food. The chowder was probably the worst we have had in Ireland. The salads and shrimp dishes were also spoiled and tasted bad. There were flies inside the restaurant, which made the experience even worse.

The service was poor as well. They took our order, but not all of the dishes were brought to the table. In the end, we paid around €130 for three people, left hungry, and did not enjoy the meal.

I do not recommend this place.
UPDATE FOLLOWING THE OWNER’S RESPONSE:
I did not confuse your restaurant with another establishment. We visited Jack White’s Inn in Brittas Bay as a family of three, and my review accurately describes our experience.

Your response is unnecessarily aggressive and attempts to discredit a genuine customer instead of addressing the poor food and service described in the review. Suggesting publicly that I invented or confused the experience simply because you disagree with it is unacceptable.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but customers are entitled to share an honest account of their visit. I stand by every part of my review and will not engage in further argument.

This photo is not Jack Whites and should be removed. We don't serve the dishes you mentioned. Photo's of Jack Whites can be found on google.

Viktoria,
I feel it is only fair to point out that this review does not appear to relate to Jack Whites Inn, Brittas Bay.

I'm not sure where you dined, but we do not serve seafood chowder or shrimp on our menu. Our team takes great pride in providing the best possible service to every customer who visits us.

Our three-course set menu is priced at €21.95 per person. Even if a main course carries a supplement, the maximum price is €23.95 per person. Our regular customers can easily confirm these prices. Based on that, a three-course dinner for three people would cost no more than €71.85, leaving €58.15 from the €130 total you mentioned to spend on drinks.

Unfortunately, anyone can post a review online, whether or not it accurately reflects their experience. Given the inconsistencies between your comments and our menu and pricing, I believe readers should treat this review with caution, as it does not appear to describe an experience at Jack Whites Inn.
